Hereford Sixth Form College
Hereford Sixth Form College was established in 1973 as the sixth form for Hereford City and the surrounding area. While most of the College's students live in Herefordshire, an increasing number travel from the border areas of the adjoining counties such as Malvern and Ludlow. The College offers a broad general education in a caring and supportive environment that enables students to gain the qualifications they need to enter higher education or employment and the opportunity to participate in a wide range of enrichment activities such as Sport, Music and Drama, Young Enterprise, the European Awareness group, the Student Representative Council and the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
The College is housed in purpose-built accommodation including specialist classrooms and laboratories, a Performing Arts Centre, a Music Centre (incorporating a recital room, practice rooms and recording studios), a Sports Hall and Fitness Centre. The Student Services Area includes a new Library & Learning Resources Centre, a specialist Careers Library and an I.T. Centre. There is a student café and additional silent study areas.
Hereford Sixth Form College Main Site
Hereford Sixth Form College required a website that all the information available in its extensive prospectus as well as up-to-date details of courses, events, news, job opportunities and the student notice bulletin. An additional requirement of the website was that it should comply with the latest Disability Discrimination Act provisions for an accessibile website.
Fychan Web Design has produced a fully accessible website that is easily updated through our Website Administration System. More recently, Fychan Web Design has installed an announcement system onto the website homepage that can be activated incase of emergency closure of the college. This will provide students and parents with a clear location from which they can find out important news from the college.

The Review Website
As part of a review of printed publications produced by the college after the launch of the new HSFC website, Fychan Web Design was commissioned to produce a website for their termly magazine. The aim of The Review is to keep students, parents, staff, governors, sponsors and the wider community up-to-date with the activity of the College in an informative and entertaining manner.
Fychan Web Design has developed an easy to update website that complies with the UK's accessibility laws.
